When we push too hard mentally, don’t provide our bodies with the necessary nutrients, or become disconnected from life purpose (or our spirit), a state of imbalance is experienced. This can lead to growth and learned resilience—thus having some benefit; however, if imbalance exists for too long, or is too severe, illness can occur. Equilibrium must be restored if we want to function and flourish with ease.
